Colour mixing

Recently I have read much on Jane Blundells blog. She is very interested in how different watercolours behave. I have foound my old notes from a course with Arne Isacson in 2004 and I am now doing some experiments with my colours. It is really interesting. This is a mix made by only four colours and it mixes in lovely green and violet. There are also som really interesting grey mixes I think they can be nice as the red granit rock we have in some places here.

Sample Books with Cristina Balbiano d´Aramengo in Leksand

For five days I have been in Leksand on a bookbinding course namned Sample Books. I had attended a class with Cristina a couple of years ago and know she was a very good teacher. I didn´t really know what sample books should be but we where told to bring different samples of collections, buttons etc. During the class we used those things in different books structures that we made during the week. This class really was high above my expectations. We have done 8 different structures during the course and filled them with our own personal contents. It has been so inspiring to meet the other participants and see what they did. I have had a very nice week.

 

This is the 8 different books that I did during the course. They are filled with different things: nibs for calligraphy, watercolours, paper samples, drawing in black and white, memories from Venice and buttons from my mother´s old button box.

Nytt år - nya ambitioner

Inför varje nytt år har man nya ambitioner. Tyvärr brukar de inte hålla så länge. Så i år tänker jag göra tvärtom och försöka att inte ha några ambitioner alls.

Har lyckats inleda året med ett kreativt projekt, min egen inbundna kalender för 2014.
